Post an RFI using Bluebeam
Posting RFIs Using Bluebeam
(For images depicting the steps below, please open the attached document at the bottom of this article)
Step 1: Open the document where the RFI
is to be posted.
Step 2: If the DWG already has postings,
unflatten first by going to Document on the top toolbar, clicking Flatten from the tools, and clicking the Unflatten button.
Step 3: Cloud the area
affected by the RFI by going to Markup on the top toolbar and selecting Cloud.
Step 4: Drag and draw a Box
around the area for the cloud.
Step 5: Label the RFI by
going to Markup on the top toolbar and select Callout.
Step 6: Add leader and
callout box with the text, “RFI XX.”
Step 7: Add a hyperlink by
right clicking on the RFI number text box and selecting “Edit Action.”
Step
8: Select
Open File, browse to the RFI
location, click Open, check the box “Use Relative Paths”, and click OK. NOTE:
Relative Path is important as this will enable your file hyperlinks to be
maintained if files are moved from one folder to another, or one device to
another (i.e. iPad).
Step
9: Flatten the document once again by going to Document on the top toolbar and
selecting Flatten. Click the Flatten button.
Step
10: Go
to File on the top toolbar and click SAVE.
