Microsoft's Snipping Tool
STEP 1: Click on the Windows icon in the lower left-hand corner of your screen and select Snipping Tool. If it is not on the default pop-up menu, type "Snipping Tool" in the search box and it will show up under Programs.
STEP 2: Once you select the tool, your screen will go light and the box shown below will pop-up. Your cursor will be ready to select whatever area of your screen you would like to screenshot. Just click the screen where you would like to start one corner of the screen shot box, hold down the mouse button, and drag the box to encapsulate whatever you would like to catch.
STEP 3: The snipping tool box will pop-up with the image you selected (see below screenshot). You may then use the tools at the top to markup and edit the image.
STEP 4: Copy and paste the image to wherever you would like it or click the purple disk to save it to your desktop.
