Union Admin - Request Voluntary Vacation Cash Out
The process to request a Voluntary Vacation Cash Out is similar to the process of any other time off request, but there are some important differences. This guide will walk you through the process.
Begin by accessing the Request Time Off task. You can access this in a couple of different ways.
Quick Tasks
You can click “Request Time Off” from your Quick Tasks menu
Applications Menu
Or you can access the applications menu and select “Time Off and Leave”
You would then select “Request Time Off”
Once you have navigated to the Request Time Off screen you will then select the days that the payout request falls on.
These dates will be paid according to the payroll schedule. For example, any request that is dated between January 2, 2023 and January 8, 2023 will be paid on the January 13, 2023 paycheck.
Select the days for the request and then select “Request Time Off”
On the next screen select a Type of “Vacation – Union Admin-Payout” and a Reason of “Voluntary Cash Out”. There are two other reasons, “Hardship Payout” and “Leave of Absence Payout”. These other reasons are used administratively by Human Resources and you will get an error message if you select either one.
A valid request will look like the following:
Click “Submit” and the request will go to Human Resources for approval.
