Subject: RTI disabling triggers
Sample cases: 00414161, 00434206, >00401858, >00414152, 00431994
- Whenever CMiC installs hotfixes or patches, RTI triggers that we don't use are also enabled.
- This request is to disable those triggers to prevent any potential problems.
- Enabling all RTIs during CMiC installation can lead to unnecessary installations and potential problems.
- We prefer to be selective about which RTIs we enable.
- CMiC has been configured to send an alert, the Swinerton CMiC team can create a support ticket with CMiC to request the disabling of the RTI script as a workaround.
- Since this issue is related to a CMiC product problem, it is necessary for the Swinerton CMiC team to create a case with CMiC for resolution.
- This change is a single-step process and is not intrusive.
- It is safe to run directly in production, as we have done so multiple times before.
- Please review the CMiC support tickets and you will see that we have addressed this issue in the past.
- Please authorize them to install to TEST first and then to PROD.
- This doesn’t take any downtime and it only suppresses some errors.
- This is not a typical programming change.
- This script run(installation) only takes 30 seconds to install and will not cause any downtime.
- You can authorize any day.
- If the issue is not addressed promptly, the RTI triggers will continue to generate a lot of unnecessary messages in the database, which could lead to system-wide problems.
- To resolve this, Swinerton CMiC team needs to create a change request with CMiC.
